two latest imports from Uruguay,interesting..

Mathias Cardaccio

Tabare Viudez

Ancelotti has also confirmed that new Uruguayan recruits Tabare Viudez and Mathias Cardaccio will train with the team. The former is a 19-year-old midfielder who has arrived from Nacional Montevideo. The latter, also a midfielder, is expected to soon complete his transfer from Defensor Sporting. "The Uruguayans will train with us,” said Carletto. “Cardacio is a national team player. Viudez, meanwhile, is an '89 player, he's a bit younger. “They will train with us and then we will see in twenty days if he will train with the Primavera or if he'll stay with us." Actually as a matter of fact, both these youngsters are supposed to be long term replacements for KaKa and Pirlo. Its nice to see Milan thinking so much in advance, taken a sneak peak at the players and their performances on youtube,i can say i am very happy.

the signings?yea watever

The signings this summer, hmmm i must say are very debatable. I thought that i would be looking at a star studded Milan once again after feasting my eyes on the Milan at Istanbul. Here goes the names, some of which are not even known..
1.Christian Abbiati 2.Luca Antonini 3.Gianluca Zambrotta 4.Matthieu Flamini 5.Marco Borrielo 6.Ronaldinho

Lets go one at a time, shall we?
Abbiati, he has played second fiddle to many goalkeepers in the past, Leo Franco was the last keeper he played subordinate to, at Athletico Madrid last season. He is a good keeper, one who is technically sound, but tactically? Yes exactly that.?

Antonini ,good player, bought in to replace a certain Serginho. Ok,but why? Serginho was barely playing for a while, why the sudden replacement? Is Antonini good enough? Good question, the answer to that question lies in the future.

Zambrotta, one of the best wingbacks who has played in the last decade, phenomenally gifted to perform. So is he what Milan need? No. Is he who Milan wants? Yes. I think that answers a lot of questions. According to me,a has been

Flamini, undoubtedly the best transfer of the season. Not just for Milan, but generally, he is someone who is a ready made replacement for Gattuso. And so adds phenomenal depth to the midfield of the great club. Whats the best part? the transfer fee! Though that takes a back seat when it gets compensated with his salary.

Marco Borreilo. Yes he is the same man caught for taking drugs, the same man who scored an impossible 4 goals in 31 games in the red and black jersey of Milan .He is considered as a replacement to Gilardino, who is probably the worst striker in the Serie A. Gila has a scoring record of 46 goals in 2 seasons at Parma and 19 goals in his first season with Milan ,and of course the second season scoring 16. Terrible stats compared to the Borrielo, isn't it? Well, if you think so, you are a capable applicant for a prestigious management post in the management board of this illustrious club.Borrielo scored 19 goals for Genoa, and out of this 4-5 were goals from spot. And Gilardino dint score too many from the spot, in his 19. Or did he? No not really. Replacing Gilardino with Borrielo is like replacing Gerrard at Liverpool with Patrick Dempsey.

Ronaldinho. Another has been. Or so you think? Naa. The guy is the best footballer to have played the game in the last decade. He can rip teams apart single handedly. The way he diddled with Milan in the champions league semi-final or the shot from the edge of the box against Cech in the same tournament. He is truly masterclass. Will he succeed at Milan? No,in all probability, NO. Will the club succeed of him? Yes. When Madrid signed Beckam it was not for his football skills. Yes he did help them win the Lala liga(hehehe), but it was more for commercial reasons. The club made outrageous sums of money during stay at the Bernebau, something similar is what i am expecting from the R80 saga here at Milanello.
Last Season was a joke, Milan's this season's campaign has started of on a laugh riot. They are aiming for Scudetto. Of course, Sunderland wants to win the premiership this year, so its definitely possible. Undoubtedly the best midfield in the world, but in the other places? Its like a car without wheels, seat or brakes, but just an engine. I would be happy if Milan make it to the champions league for next season. Aiming higher will only be wishful thinking. Considering their transfers, and also the strengthening of the squads in the Serie A, 4th position should be a realistic goal, and of course the UEFA cup.

FORZA MILAN!!
